Dr. Cong Cong

Cong Cong is a Lecturer of Urban Science and Planning at the Department of Urban Studies and Planning at MIT. She received her Ph.D. degree in Urban Informatics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she was also a graduate researcher specializing in urban modeling at the Landuse Evolution and Impact Assessment Model Lab. She is interested in the areas of urban analytics, environmental modeling, sustainable land development and participatory planning support system. Her research focuses on utilizing computational and scientific methods to improve urban science and planning, particularly in mitigating the impacts of climate change in cities and facilitating more resilient and inclusive decision-making.
